Interested in giving rowing a try? Please see letter below from IU’s assistant rowing coach:
My name is Kim Chavers, I am an Assistant Coach for the Varsity Women’s Rowing Program at Indiana University. I wanted to reach out to you about a varsity athletic opportunity for your female students with our rowing program.
Indiana University has a division of the Varsity Women’s Rowing Team, called Novice, a group of athletes with no rowing experience all in their first year of rowing. All were high school athletes – volleyball, swimming, track, cross country, soccer, basketball, etc. It’s a very athletic and motivated group that competes against other Novice Teams throughout the year. We are looking for athletes who you think may fit well with our program.
We have a free Junior Day event coming up on Sunday, March 5th. Students and their families are invited to tour our athletic facilities, learn more about the sport of rowing, and meet our staff and team. More information and registration can be found here: http://iuhoosiers.com/
If you know of juniors or seniors who are competitive, athletic, and team players we’d like to get in touch with them about our program. Please pass along my information to them or let me know what would be the best way to connect with them.
