OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Kentucky Wesleyan College women’s golf team has signed Kaelen Rice to a National Letter of Intent for the 2018 season, as announced by Head Coach Ken Badylak during the early signing period.

Rice attends Mount Vernon Senior High School in Mt. Vernon, Indiana where she earned Academic All-State Honors. Rice helped the Wildcats to a IHSAA Regional appearance this past season after a third place showing in Sectionals. Rice also won top honors at the Big-8 Conference Championship this fall. She is a two-time All-Conference team member while earning team Most Valuable Player honors in 2016 and 2017.

“We are excited for the future of Kentucky Wesleyan women’s golf,” said Head Coach Ken Badylak. “Kaelen is a consistent player that has put together an incredible resume. The foundation of our program will continue to get stronger, especially by having Kaelen apart of our team.”

In addition to golf, Rice has been showing horses for 10 years where she recorded a third place showing in the World Championship Horse Show. Kaelen is the daughter of Dr. James and Lisa Rice. She has two siblings, Caleb and Joshua.

Kaelen, thank you for your hard work and dedication to MVHS and the Lady ‘Cat golf team.  Congratulations on your signing and “Go Panthers!”
