Rules: All IHSAA and National Federation rules will be followed.

Entries:            Relays – Each team may enter one relay team.  Eight swimmers may be entered in each relay from which four may be selected to participate in the relay.

                        

Individual – Each team may enter three participants and an alternate in every individual event.  Only the alternate may replace one of the three participants in that event.

Seeding: Will follow the sixteen-place scoring championship meet preliminary/finals format for Thursday and Saturday.

Method of Advancement: Swimming – The fastest eight qualifiers will advance to the Finals; while 9th through 16th will advance to the Consolations. 

Diving – The highest twenty scores advance to the Semi-finals, while the highest sixteen scores advance to the Finals.

 

Diving: Will follow the championship meet format.

The meet shall consist of five voluntary dives and six optional dives.

                          Round 1 – Any two voluntary and three optional

Round 2 – Two voluntary and one optional

                          Round 3 – One voluntary and two optional

The six optional dives shall include at least one chosen from each of the five groups while no more than one optional dive from the same group is permitted through the semi-finals.

 

Diving Warm-up: Divers will be allowed to warm-up using the boards during the swim meet on Thursday as well as before diving begins on Saturday.   There will be no diving warm-ups on Friday evening.

Scoring: 16 place championship scoring per NFHS Swimming and Diving Rules book.

Awards: Ribbons 1st through 8th places and team championship trophy.

First through eighth place ribbons will be given out at the awards stand immediately following the Finals heat.  A team champion trophy presentation will take place after the meet.

Timing: The meet will have automatic timing with one button and two manual stopwatch back-ups. 

Admission: $6.00 per session and $10.00 for a season ticket.  All tickets will be sold at the door.

 

Seating Assignments: Each team will have a designated seating area on the pool deck.  All spectators and non-performers (including male athletes) will be required to remain off the pool deck.  Only meet officials, coaches, contestants and managers will be permitted on the deck.  

Concessions: Will be available.

 

 

Team Seating: All teams will sit in designated seating on the east end of the natatorium. Bleachers and chairs will be provided and signs will designate seating assignments. 

Warm-ups: Warm-ups and cool downs will be available at all times throughout the meet in the east end of the pool. Warm-up lanes will be assigned during designated warm-up period.  Check coach’s packet for assignment.

Pool Security: All athletes should remain outside the yellow ropes and standards at all times. One person will be allowed inside the ropes during the 500 yard swim only. Only meet officials and coaches will be allowed on the bulkheads.

Pool Deck Access:  Only swimmers and meet workers should be on the pool deck. All others (except those in handicapped seating) should be in the spectator seating on the upper level. Athletes should enter through the locker rooms.  Coaches should enter through the Control Room.

 Photographers: Any photographers that are going to attend must be on a list that is submitted by the team Coach prior to the tournament if they plan on taking pictures on deck. 

Handicapped Seating: An area will be designated for handicapped seating on the west wall of the pool deck.
