Woods Named All-Conference for Tennis!

Mt. Vernon’s Morgan Woods is the latest to join the Big 8 All-Conference Ranks! As a result of yesterday’s Big 8 Coaches Meeting, Morgan Woods was voted All-Conference for Girls Tennis.  As a sophomore, Woods played #1 singles for the ‘Cats all season.  Mt. IHSAA Tennis Sectional Pairings Announced!

Mt. Vernon High School will host the Girls Tennis Sectional starting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15 – Saturday, May 18. Weather permitting, the schedule will be as follows: Wednesday, 5/15:  Mt. Vernon vs North Posey @ 4:30 pm Thursday, 5/16:  Mater Dei vs Central; Reitz vs the winner of MV/NP.  Both matches will begin at 4:30

Girls Tennis Wins Another Invitational!

The 2019 Girls Tennis team keeps on rolling! On Saturday, 5/11, the girls traveled to Heritage Hills for their annual invitational tournament.  Along with the host school, Pike Central and South Spencer rounded out the 4 team tournament.  The tournament went down to a tie-breaker between Mt. Vernon and Pike Central.  It was the Lady
